Actually black ice is for
real. When it rains, and the temperature is below 32F, the rain will freeze
on the roads. Since most roads are black, and the ice is clear, you cannot
see the ice when you drive. Thus, the reason for black ice. A drivers nightmare
for sure as you cannot control your car when you drive on the ice. When
you drive on a bridge that has ice like this, usually you will lose control
of your car. This has happened to me a couple of times.
TTYL
black ice - a thin, nearly
invisible coating of ice, as on the surface of a road or a sidewalk, that
is usually caused by freezing mist and is extremely hazardous.
