Spring begins in March. It lasts for three months: March, April and May.
In early spring the weather is changeable. Sometimes it is cold and rainy. The temperature is low – 5 - 8 degrees above zero.
In late spring the sun begins to shine brightly, and the weather is sunny and warm. The temperature is higher – 10 – 12 degrees above zero. The days become longer and the nights shorter.
Spring is a wonderful season. Everything begins to grow. In April buds and green leaves appear in the trees. In May the first  flowers show up. They are snowdrops, violets and tulips. Birds come back from warm countries  and begin to make their nests. Children make bird-houses for birds.
In spring there are many holidays: the 8th of March, the 1st of May and the 9th of May. Besides children have spring holidays.
Children like spring, because they can be out-of-doors for a long time. They play different games: hopscotch, tag and leap-frog. They often go for walks. In spring children like to spend their weekends in the country.
It is very pleasant to be in the fresh air in spring. Everything is full of life and joy.
