Summer begins in June and

month of the year. The days are the longest and the nights are the shortest.

light early in the morning and dark late in the evening.
July is the warmest
month of the year. The sun is bright and hot. Summer is in full beauty
in July. There are a lot of flowers in the gardens, fields and woods. Birds
sing their songs.
Many people go to
the country in summer. Summer is the best season for sports in the open
air. People go in for different kinds of sports. They play football, volleyball,
basketball, tennis, badminton, bathe and swim. Schoolchildren have their
summer holidays. They last for about twelve weeks. Children spend their
holidays at the seaside or in the country. They go for long walks, run,
play hide-and-seek.
In summer people wear
light clothes. Girls wear dresses with short sleeves or without sleeves
at all, socks and sandals. Boys wear shirts with short sleeves and an open
collar, T-shirts, shorts and sandals.
In late summer the
corn and fruit ripen There are a lot of fruit in July and August: apples,
pears, plums, grapes, melons, watermelons.
People go to the wood
to gather berries and mushrooms.
