Second language

A big cat surprised a family of mice. Father Mouse jumped and said, "Bow-wow!" The cat ran away. "What was that, Father?" asked Baby Mouse. "Well, son, that's why it's important to learn a second language."

Be bilingual

A cat is chasing three mice. The mice were cornered when one of the mice turned around and barked, "Ruff! Ruff! Ruff!" The surprised cat ran away scared. Later when the mice told their mother what happened, she smiled and said, "You see, it pays to be bilingual!"

Which part?

"I was born in California." "Which part?" "All of me."
 

Sin of Lying

A priest told his congregation, "Next week I plan to speak about the sin of lying. To help you understand better, I want you to read Mark 17."
The following Sunday the priest asked for a show of hands. He wanted to know how many had read Mark 17.
Every hand went up. The priest smiled and said, "Mark has only 16 chapters. And now I will speak about the sin of lying."

Baptism

Before performing a baptism, the priest came to the young father and said, "Baptism is a serious step.  Are you prepared for it?"
"I think so," the man replied.  "My wife has prepared plenty of cookies and cakes for all of our guests."
"I don't mean that," the priest responded.  "I mean, are you prepared spiritually?"
"Oh, sure," came the reply.  "I've got a keg of beer and a case of whiskey."

ironing board noun
