A year has got 365 days, but a leap year has got 366 days.
A leap year comes every four years.
There are four seasons in a year. They are winter, spring,
summer and autumn.
Winter begins in December. The winter months are December,
January and February. The weather is cold, frosty and windy in
winter. It often snows. Everything is white with snow. Gardens,
fields and forests look wonderful in winter.
The temperature is low. It is 5-15 degrees below zero. The
days are short and the nights are long. Winter is the coldest
season of the year, but children like winter. They can have a
very good time in winter. They can enjoy skating, skiing, playing
snowballs and sledging.
Winter is the time for fun. We celebrate New Year on the 31st
of December and Christmas on the 7th of January. Besides children
have got the winter holidays in January.
